The Customer Interface Unit (CIU) cannot establish a data link with the external meter base via PLC or RF. This is the single most common Conlog error.
Root cause: PLC signal attenuation caused by: extension cords, surge protectors, SMPS in LED lights/TVs/inverters stripping the high-frequency signal. RF: distance >50m or thick concrete walls.
